Two tenure-track Assistant Professor openings @ University of South Carolina
The Linguistics Program at the University of South Carolina (USC) is excited to announce two tenure-track Assistant Professor openings. One of the linguistics positions is in Computational Neuro/Psycholinguistics, with a tenure home in the Psychology Department. The other is in Computational Linguistics and AI, with a tenure home department to be based on the candidate’s specialization.
- Assistant Professor in Computational Neuro/Psycholinguistics
The Departments of Psychology and the Linguistics Program invite applications for a tenure-track position in Computational Neuro/Psycholinguistics at the Columbia campus. This joint hire is part of USC’s university-wide cluster in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Cybersecurity with the goal to support cutting-edge research at the intersection of brain and language. The Linguistics Program is also hiring a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Computational Linguistics and AI. This interdisciplinary joint hire (with the home department to be determined based on candidate’s specialization) will be part of a university-wide cluster hire in Data Sciences, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Cyber security and aims to support cutting-edge research at the intersection of AI and Linguistics. We seek applicants whose research agenda in Linguistics employs computational methods and whose work includes or leverages Large Language Models (LLMs).
